Ms. Abha Gupta is an experienced consultant ophthalmologist based at the prestigious NHS Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. She began her medical school education at Manchester Medical School, where she also gained an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience. Her specialist ophthalmology training took place at the prestigious Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh, with additional experience in the Leeds rotation. After completing her sub-specialty training in Edinburgh, she worked as a consultant in Edinburgh before returning to Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, where she now provides expert individual and dedicated care to patients.
She leads the hydroxychloroquine retinal screening service at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, ensuring high-quality care for patients on long-term medication. Ms. Gupta is committed to delivering personalised, expert eye care to her patients, combining her clinical expertise with a passion for medical education and research.
Ms. Gupta is a respected medical educator and examiner.
